THE JOB
In line with the Charter of BUTH, the Chief Medical Director would be charged with the responsibility for the execution of the policies and matters affecting the day-to-day management of the affairs of the hospital, subject to the general control of the Board of Management.
REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
The candidates for the post of Chief Medical Director is expected to be a person who is medically qualified and registered as such for a period of not less than 12 years, has had considerable administrative experience in matters of health and holds a post graduate medical qualification obtained not less than 5 years prior to the date of this advert. Other basic criteria for shortlisting and appointment is that candidates must be of the Baptist Denomination.
Furthermore, such a candidate:
(a) Must show evidence of high-level managerial capacity in the administration of a tertiary medical institution.
(b) Must produce evidence of current practicing license.
(c) Should hold professional and academic standing that must be sufficiently high to command national and international respect, particularly in the professional medical world, such that it would enhance the good reputation already established for the Teaching Hospital.
(d) The appointee should possess such personality as can attract funding from both the local and international communities to supplement the subventions from both the Nigerian Baptist Convention and Bowen University, Iwo.

TENURE OF OFFICE
The Chief Medical Director shall hold office from the date of his/her appointment for a term of two years in the first instance, renewable upon satisfactory performance for another term and no more.
SALARY AND ALLOWANCES Salary and Allowances will be in accordance with the approved salary structure by the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Bowen University, Iwo and BUTH Management Board for this category of Officer.

a. Candidate must possess a Degree in Physiotherapy from a Recognized University and be registrable with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Registration Board (MRTB) of Nigeria.
b. Must have completed his/ her National Youth Service Corps.
Experience in working in a Tertiary Health Institution will be an added advantage

Ten (10) copies of your completed application form with photocopies of your credentials should be submitted.
Applicants are also required to submit 3 reference letters, not from relatives, addressed to the Chief Medical Director. One must be from the applicant’s Pastor and at least one from the Institution of training. Please note that the reference letters must be typed on letter-head paper appropriately dated and signed.
